Prof. Dr. Saad Znad Darwish is the President’s Advisor for Special Projects, previously the Vice President for Administrative Affairs & Finance & Community Engagement at Applied Science University (ASU) in Bahrain.
Before joining ASU, he held the position of VP Academic at DU, in addition to holding the position of Head of the Faculty of Business Administration as well as being a member of the Administrative Board of the College of Economics and Administration Sciences at Al Zaitooneh University in Jordan.
He also held the University Vice President position
of Al Nahreen University in Iraq and as a Dean for sixteen years prior to his assumption as the University Vice President.
He has published more than 50 research papers in both English and Arabic languages and has been an editor of 6 books and author of 2 books. He has been elected as a referee for several international conferences and as a member of many editorial boards in international journals.
As a professional educator he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy – UK, Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts – UK and Certified Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management – UK.
He completed his PhD in Business Administration, Risk Management from the Polytechnic of Central London in Collaboration with Surrey University in UK 1987. Prof. Dr. Saad finished his Master’s degree in Insurance Management from the University of Baghdad. He achieved his B.Sc. in Business Administration at Al Hikmah American University in Baghdad.
