ASU’s Quality Assurance Manual specifies requirements for the University which are intended to realize its quality philosophy, and in so doing meets its stakeholder requirements as well as ensures their satisfaction on the academic programmes and administrative processes of the institution. This approach guides the University in demonstrating its ability to provide consistent programmes and services that address stakeholder and applicable statutory regulatory requirements; and enhances stakeholder satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement.
Moreover, the QA Manual covers monitoring, through quality reviews and audits, of the university’s policies, aims and learning outcomes, the university’s management practices, the university’s key processes and their associated management practices related to the development, monitoring and assessment of programmes and policies. It lays a foundation for describing the entire quality management approach of ASU and gives both internal and external stakeholders a comprehensive picture of ‘quality management’ at the institution.
Other policies, procedures and guidelines supporting academic and non-academic structures of the University are contained either in the University Bylaws, or other handbooks or manuals.
