The purpose of the University Management Committee is to provide a forum that enables decision making on initiatives and issues for the university.
The University Management Committee will assist the President in the delivery of the university strategy and ensure an integrated approach to cross-university activity is achieved.
It has primary authority for the day to day management of the University except for those matters which are reserved to the Board of Directors or to the Board of Trustees.
The University Management Committee is responsible of:
- – Assisting the President of the University in overseeing the strategic direction for the University and delivering its vision.ย The Committee ensures there is effective leadership, management and co-ordination of all the major academic and support activities undertaken by the University.
- – Developing the detailed strategies that include teaching and learning, research, the student experience, campus development, finance and human resources and business and community engagement.
- – Taking key executive decisions and ensuring that the institution operates efficiently. The Committee provides the University Council and the Board of Trustees and their committees with executive reports, draft budgets and accounts, key performance indicators, benchmarking information on capital investment and reports on risk management.
