Annual Staff Ghabga and 15 years anniversary of Achievements

An Annual Staff Ghabga and a 15 years anniversary celebration have been held at the Grove Hotel & Conference Centre in Amwaj, which was organized by the Directorate of Marketing and Public Relations, sharing the emotions for Ramadhan spirits and joyful moments of achievements and rewards. The Ghabga was attended by more than 300 guests including the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Waheeb Alkhaja; Member of Board of Director, Mr Mohamed Al Khaja; University President Professor Ghassan Aouad; Bahraini Comedians Mr Ali Algherair (Taffash) and Khalid Alrumaithi (Jassom); many other University’s senior management, academic and administrative members. This also included sponsors from Injaz and students from the student council.

The Ghabga aimed to celebrate Bahraini traditions and a number of entertaining activities. The event started with a traditional folk music performance of “Laywa”, followed by a welcoming speech from Professor Waheeb Alkhaja and Professor Aouad, sharing the all the outstanding University achievements that was succeeded during the 15 years since the establishment and continued with a an interactive presentation hosted by the Director of Marketing and Public Relations Ms Ruqaya Mohsin that was pleasantly dressed by the both Comedians Mr Algherair and Alrumaithi.

During the event, two honouring moments addressed employees who’ve been rewarded for their 10 years continuation of loyalty towards ASU and other rewards were assigned to students who volunteered in Injaz achievement. This event also included a range of fun activities and games such as puzzles, linguistic questions, vocabulary & pronunciation repetition competitions and a mystery guessing games.

As part of the event, a traditional “Fraisa” Dance was performed in between activities in addition to raffles and generous cash prizes, travel ticks, discount vouchers, other valuable gifts such as electronics, home accessories and a delicious “Suhoor” dinner that was served at midnight.
