The university is hosting the Bahraini-German seminar to discuss the integration of graduates into the labour market and the application of innovative German technology
The Bahraini-German symposium titled “Utilising Talents in an Evolving Economy” was organised by the German-Saudi Office for Economic Affairs in collaboration with the University.
Over 100 students from different colleges participated in an interactive exchange of knowledge during two panel discussions with German industry leaders. The discussions focused on integrating graduates into the workforce and applying innovative German technology in partnership with the education sector.
The symposium was inaugurated by Professor Waheeb Al Khaja, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and the German Ambassador H.E. Clemens Hach. Dr Dalia Rohte, delegate of the German industry for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain, and Yemen, moderated both panel discussions, featuring industry experts from Siemens, BASF, SAP, and RMA Technologies. These discussions provided students with insights into the use of Artificial Intelligence, essential soft skills, and recruitment processes.
Dr Dalia Samra-Rohte remarked, “The symposium was an excellent platform for Bahraini students and academia to exchange ideas with the German industry in the region. In a transforming world, the exchange and application of innovative technology in the education sector are becoming increasingly important. Given the success of this format, we look forward to expanding our cooperation with the ASU in the future.”
Besides, as the symposium coincided with Bahraini Women’s Day, the panellists highlighted female integration programmes in the industry and celebrated the achievements of women in the workforce.
