The Bachelor Programme in Law offered in Arabic Language covers the local and regional labour market of Law Bachelor’s Degree Holders to support the government sector and private legal institutions. The Programme Study Plan consists of 135 credit hours. The Programme is designed to achieve the required knowledge and skills to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
The courses offered in the Programme include a wide range of courses that, in total, provide the appropriate knowledge and application basis for the science of law, its concepts and components and are suitable for such a degree. The Bachelor of Law Programme has clear objectives consistent with ASU’s vision and mission. It is suitably designed to achieve the knowledge and skills required to meet the needs of Bahrain’s labour market and the Arab Gulf region.
The Bachelor Programme in Law aims to:
– Provide a capable specialized alumnus in legal work sectors of the Bahraini and Gulf society.
– Prepare an alumna with detailed and critical knowledge in the law branches and acquire a sufficient amount of specialized mental, practical and transformational skills to easily access the labour market and contribute to community service and development.
– Prepare an alumna capable of utilizing specialized skills to apply legal and scientific research methods, offer continuing education, adopt modern technologies, and pursue higher studies.
– Prepare responsible alumna committed to the legal profession ethics and respect justice and religious, moral and national values.

–The fees may increase/decrease depending on the registered courses per semster.
–The tuition fees are paid every semester in three instalments: The First instalment when registering the courses and the Second instalment prior to the Mid-Term exams and the Third instalment prior to the Final Exams.
–Summer term is optional for the students to register, and in the event that the student registers courses for the summer semester, the value per Credit Hour is 92.7 BD, noting that the maximum hours to register is 9.

Admission Criteria:
- The applicant should obtain a Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with an average of not less than 70% after completing all stages of authentication.
- Applicants with averages ranging from 60% to 70% should successfully pass the interview examination organized by the College of Law to be admitted to the programme.
- Applicants with an average of less than 60% will not be admitted.
English Language Requirements
- All students admitted to the Programme must attend the Compulsory English Test (specified by the University) to determine their English Level, according to the following:
- Students who score between (0-40), must attend Remedial English (ENG 099).
- Students who score between (41-120), must attend English Language 1 (ENG101).
- The student is exempted from the course ENG 099 if they have obtained (5) or higher in an IELTS test, or 450 and higher in a TOEFL test.
