The Master of Law Programme is one of the graduate programmes at the College of Law. It provides the community with scientific competencies in the field of advanced legal studies by providing the learner with critical legal knowledge in the branches of law, and developing mental skills that enable the learner to be able to analyse, refer, conclude and interpret, and develop the learner’s abilities to follow the scientific research methods according to the methodology and ethics of scientific research and to develop his creative spirit using critical self–study, solve problems and follow up on the new developments in the legal field.
The program was designed to consist of (36) credit hours, divided into courses (compulsory – outcome), and a master’s thesis, as the program contains (3) compulsory courses at the program level, in reality 9 credit hours. Then I started two tracks and started creating the special, and completed the year. In each track, there were two groups, one compulsory and the other optional, and with regard to its law track, a compulsory group allocated 3 courses for 9 credit hours, and a non-elective group consisting of 5 courses of the learner’s choice, of which 3 courses were allocated for 9 credit hours.
As for the public law track: There is a compulsory group for which 3 courses are allocated for 9 credit hours, and an optional group consisting of 5 courses from which the learner chooses 3 courses for 9 credit hours, knowing that the student’s choice of either track is determined upon the student’s acceptance based on A form prepared and approved for this purpose. After the student has passed a total of 21 credit hours, with a cumulative average of no less than 75%, the learner chooses to register for the dissertation course according to the path he chose and determined in advance, through an approved form for this purpose.
The subject of the thesis is related to private law topics if the learner chooses the private law track for 9 credit hours, and the thesis topic is also related to public law topics if the learner chooses the public law track for 9 credit hours.
