The second meeting of the Advisory Board for the LLB (Hons) Law Program in the 2023/2024 academic year was held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in the Dome Hall on campus. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Dr. Osama Mokhtar, Chairman of the Board, with the attendance of advisory board members, alongside Dr. Hussein Bani Issa, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, department heads, and the program coordinator.
The meeting discussed various updates and issues related to the program as listed on the board’s agenda. The discussions included how to align the courses offered in the program with Bahraini law and the needs of the job market, as well as ways to enhance related extracurricular activities. Attendees also addressed topics concerning curriculum development, ensuring it meets global academic standards and local market requirements, with the aim of preparing qualified graduates who can seamlessly integrate into the workforce.
At the end of the meeting, board members expressed their appreciation for the diligent efforts made by the faculty in general, and the program team in particular. They commended the continuous work in developing the program to serve students and meet the needs of the local community, emphasizing the importance of continuing these efforts to improve the quality of legal education and enhance graduates’ ability to contribute effectively to their communities.
