About ASUโs International Partnerships Office:
Higher Education Institutions around the world are grappling with how best to equip their graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a globalised market.
The need for constant innovation and development is required to maintain the institutionโs position within the international higher education community. Consequently, internationalisation and partnerships have become vital to many universities across the globe, and the Applied Science University (ASU) is no exception.
ASU aspires to be an active university that supports international education activities and priorities. It recognises that internationalisation and building partnerships with counterparts locally, regionally, and internationally has become a necessity to achieve the universityโs mission and to provide students with an enriching academic journey.
Stemming from the importance that ASU places upon this area, the International Partnerships Office was established to support ASU to achieve its strategic objectives through initiating and sustaining cooperative partnerships with international Higher Education institutions as well as with key institutions in Bahrain. The International Partnerships Office supports ASU in several areas including entering international markets; attracting international students; encouraging faculty research collaborations focused on critical global issues; organising international conferences, seminars, workshops; and facilitating staff development activities carried out in partnership with international institutions.
The International Partnerships Office comprises a team that reports directly to the Assistant Vice-President for Academic Affairs. Please contact the team should you have any queries regarding internationalisation and partnerships.
