Opening of Admissions and Registration for the First Semester 2021/2022
Applied Science University, a university that has obtained the institutional accreditation from the Higher Education Council, announced the opening of admissions and registration for students wishing to join the University for the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022.
The President of the University, Professor Ghassan Aouad, indicated that due to the exceptional circumstances that the Kingdom of Bahrain and the world are going through due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and based on the recommendations of the Higher Education Council, the University will only accept applications for this semester electronically via the University’s website www.asu.edu.bh, or by e-mail to admission@asu.edu.bh, or through the WhatsApp number 66633770, in order to ensure the health and safety of students. The President extends his thanks and gratitude to His Excellency, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education, and to the Secretariat General of the Higher Education Council for their support and guidelines they shared with universities during these difficult times to ensure the smooth running of the educational operation and ensure the health and safety of all students.
The University President stated that the majors offered for the next semester include Bachelor in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Political Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Interior Design and Master in Law, Commercial Law, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, and Accounting and Finance, in addition to the College of Engineering programs, through which the student can obtain a Bachelor of Engineering in Architectural Engineering or a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering Awarded by London South Bank University in the UK and recognized by the Higher Education Council in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

It is worth noting that the University began its new academic year with a number of remarkable achievements it has accomplished at the local, regional and international levels, as it was ranked 29th amongst Arab universities in the 2021 ranking issued by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, and it is also the first private university in Bahrain that is ranked 651-700 globally, in addition to being ranked among the top 150 emerging universities under the age of 50 in the world, as well as being the only Bahraini university to achieve four stars in the QS Stars Rating System. The University also achieved the 401+ place in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking and the was ranked 484th in the world and 37th in the Arab world in the UI GreenMetric University Rankings, in addition to the fact that all the academic programs of the University achieved the confidence status in the program reviews conducted by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA).
The University also renewed its ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Administrative Provision for the third year in a row, and it is considered to be the first university in Bahrain and the GCC and one of the first Arab universities to obtain the ISO 21001:2018 Certification for Educational Institutions Management Systems. The University continues its fruitful collaboration with the British Higher Education Academy (now called Advance HE) to qualify faculty members to obtain the Fellowship of the HEA from the Academy and is extremely proud to be chosen as an accredited Training Center approved by the Academy which led to increased numbers of the University’s academic and administrative staff members obtaining the much-coveted HEA fellowship.
