The university participates in the conference about The Role of Higher Education in Providing the Relevant Skills Needed for the Digital Age
The President Prof. Ghassan Aouad and the Director of Administration and Finance and President Advisor for Follow Up Affairs Mr Abdulla Al Khaja attended a conference in Alexandria on The Role of Higher Education in Providing the Relevant Skills Needed for the Digital Age
(Life Skills, Digital Skills, & Leadership Skills) Which was organised by the Arab Academy for Science,Technology and Maritime Transport in Association with Arab European Leadership Network in Higher Education โ ARELEN. and the Association of Arab Universities. Prof.Amr Ezzat Salama the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities made the opening speech. The President delivered a key note speech on the leadership and managerial skills needed to enhance staff performance in the higher education sector in the digital era.
He addressed the issue of digital transformation and its impact on staff performance, looking at technological, cultural and financial aspects among others. The conference has also included presenters from Egypt (former minister of Information and Technology , President of Alexandria University, Dean of Arab Institute for Leadership Development). It also included presenters from the UK ( Prof.Mohammed Loutfi from Coventry University and Mr.David Lock from Observatory Magna Charta Universitatum) and from Lebanon( VP for Research and innovation of MUBS).
